This is a project-based course designed to introduce students to statistical consulting and interdisciplinary work. University researchers from a variety of disciplines will come as clients. They will present their statistical problems to the class. Each client's project will be the responsibility of a student consulting group. The group will work with the client and communicate their findings and recommendations to the client. In addition, the course will cover statistical methods and software that have proven useful in many consulting projects. |
