  • Monte Carlo theory and methodology : Sequential Monte Carlo; Markov chain Monte Carlo; Applications of Monte Carlo methods in scientific problems.
  • Computational biology: Population genetics; Linkage disequilibrium.
  • Dynamic systems: Filtering and smoothing in state space models; Change-point problems, Identification and adaptive control of nonlinear stochastic systems.
  • Other interests: Statistical inference; Applied probability; Combinatorics; Conditional inference on contingency tables; Tomographic analysis of the solar atmosphere.
